Paediatric Team Bank Flight Doctor

Capital Air Ambulance is a EURAMI accredited Fixed Wing Air Ambulance Service based at Bristol Airport. The service operates fixed wing aircraft managing the safe repatriation and transfer of patients worldwide and is committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients by employing the best clinicians to deliver that care.

We are now recruiting for Bank Flight Doctors to join our Paediatric Team on an ad hoc basis. The role involves international repatriations via air ambulance and commercial airlines. A background in paediatric critical care, paediatric anaesthesia and/ or paediatric transfer and retrieval is essential.

Requirements Include:
• Minimum availability requirement 12 days per year.
• Minimum requirement to attend at least 1 CPD day and 1 clinical governance meeting per year.
• Mandatory training must be kept up to date including APLS or EPALS and Level 2/3 safeguarding.

As a service we understand that learning and development is a key part delivering first class medical care. As a company we will support your practice and further your clinical development. As part of your induction into the service you will required to successfully complete an aircrew course to ensure safe operation both on and around aircraft and within the aviation environment. Successful candidates will be put through an accelerated training programme to ensure that they are familiar with our equipment, governance and operating procedures.
