We are currently seeking a Medical Services Coordinator to be based at one of our offices in Bristol.
The purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide operational support primarily to the senior medical management, including the Head of Medical, Medical Director, and Lead Clinical Coordinator (LCC), who hold overall clinical responsibility for patient care and clinical decisions
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Provide timely quotations to customers for Air Ambulance and Commercial Repatriation missions.
- Keep up to date with and monitor the medical inbox.
- Answer phone calls promptly.
- Assist the CC with the management and coordination of the team of nurses and paramedics employed by the company or subcontracted as a bank of the in-flight medical crew.
- Liaise with clients and providers on active cases to ensure the efficient running of a mission.
- Arrange the logistics and basic clinical details (in collaboration with the CC) of aeromedical and ground ambulance repatriations/movements, following the specifications provided by our clients and the Medical Director.
- Act as the initial point of contact for Flight Medical Crew on assignment, handling inquiries and resolving problems. Seek advice and guidance from the CC, Medical Director, and/or other relevant managers when necessary.
- Coordinate with the flight operations team to facilitate effective and safe repatriations.
- Audit completed (closed) case files and assist with record keeping in line with quality targets.

- A general understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations is a plus.
- Weekend availability is required.
